Covid safety measures and protocol

Berlin Aerial Arts festival was founded in 2016 by Berlin Verein VUESCH, a co-operative, not-for-profit group that offers training space for professionals, regular classes and open training.

The 2019 edition of the festival was the third and biggest yet, and was awarded the support of the Berlin Senat.

By putting on the Berlin Aerial Arts Festival we hope to bring together the best aerial artists, practitioners, teachers and enthusiasts from all over the world, to celebrate and develop our art-form together.

The festival comprises of advanced workshops, masterclasses, jamming sessions, shows, open-stage performance, networking events and much more.

This year we will offer a smaller, yet perfectly formed, outdoor version of the festival. It will include eight workshops and three nights of performance, showcasing exciting new works of aerial circus - both short acts and longer theatrical pieces.

If you need to discuss anything, are looking for a place to stay, have questions about workshops e.t.c. – please check out the Facebook Group for festival participants.

The event will take place in the open air. The equipment will be rigged under a bridge area that will offer some protection from the sun and rain. We are limiting numbers of participants and audience in line with the city covid regulations and expect everyone to follow social distancing protocol. For the workshops we will require proof of either vaccination, recovered status in the last 6 months, or a daily negative test.

Very important - please arrive early for your workshop and do your own warm up. The site is open an hour before classes begin. Teachers will add their own equipment specific warm up, but do not want to spend too much time in the workshop doing this. If you arrive late you cannot join in until you have completed a warm up.

All participants are liable for themselves.
