Our main focus this year is on in depth workshops (apart from the shows, of course!).
So we are offering two day workshops with 4h per day. So get training and strengthen the skin on your hands – after the festival your palms will be raw!!!

Every morning for all participants:
9h – 10h
Aerial Conditioning with Frank Kraft
The focus of the training lies in understanding the different shoulder, back, and stomach muscles to train and engage these. It also focuses on different imbalances one might have. We will start each training with mapping the body to sense which areas need attention and what to do for the stiff parts, before getting into a workout.
Day one – introduction, day two – shoulders, day three – back, day four – stomach.
It is meant as a workshop and not so much as a workout, with the outcome to include movements and training in your own workout routine
***Please bring Thera-Bands, if you have!***

Thursday 10:30h – 14h + Friday: 10:30h – 15:00h
Circus Schatzinsel
Rope – The Aerial Movement – with Gabriel Tramullas
advanced students

The Aerial Movement Workshops and Masterclasses, are a new systematic approach for aerial training, consisting of theory, practice and methodology; including biomechanics, programmed training, technique, conditioning, educational and preparatory exercises for the development and execution of dynamic, explosive and slow motion movements in aerial acrobatics and aerial calisthenics; all of this resulting from the analysis of the movement.

Through this analysis, every movement is broken down to its components, like the “rings” that form a long “chain”; working gradually and methodically, to do, but also to feel and understand each aerial acrobatic and aerial calisthenic movement.

The Aerial Movement: “It’s not what you do, but how you do it ”

11 + 12 of November
Saturday + Sunday: 10h – 14h
Dance Trapeze with Oliver Smith-Wellnitz
strong intermediate / advanced students

The focus will be on dynamic movements – tempos, rolls, and drops, but there will also be time for improvisation and sequence creation, as well as some exploration of movement such as spinning and swinging.
The workshop will begin with a group warm-up/strength routine before diving straight into some technical elements, which will be broken up with occasional improvisation and research exercises. There is always room to work on individual goals as well, so feel free to bring your own ideas!
As preparation, it is important for participants to train consistently on a bar in the weeks leading up to the workshop to ensure adequate hand/skin endurance for the workshops. It’s a long time on the bar, so we don’t want to rip on the first day!

Silks and Objects with Tania Simili
For this workshop, Tania Simili will propose a work around the manipulation of an object on aerial silks. She will ask the participants to bring an object that they like and she will propose a research to mix this object and the aerial technic. The objective being to be conscious of all the parts of the body, to separate them and put them in the service either of the object or the aerial technique.

will take place at:
Verein zur Überwindung der Schwerkraft (Revaler Str. 99, 10245 Berlin)
Circus Schatzinsel (May-Ayim-Ufer 4, 10997 Berlin)
